James was appointed as Minister of Music to The Episcopal Church of St. Mary’s in Falmouth, Maine in 2023. James spent time building the St. Paul’s Choir School from 2019-2023. In NYC, he was most recently music director at St. Ignatius of Antioch and St. Mary the Virgin, Times Square. James has also been a frequent guest organist and conductor at Saint Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, and Trinity Church, Wall Street in New York.
