Rossini: Overture to William Tell

$15.00

The famous Overture to William Tell by Gioachino Rossini (1792–1868), transcribed for pipe organ by James Kennerley (b. 1984) after Edwin Lemare.

This highly virtuosic transcription is the ultimate showpiece for any orchestral instrument, but it also works magnificently on more modest organs. I have taken Edwin Lemare’s transcription and updated it with the changes that I tended to add when performing this over the years. I have also kept organ registrations to a minimum, instead preferring descriptions of the orchestral timbres.
