Published in 1902, Scott Joplin’s The Entertainer is one of the defining works of the ragtime era, combining elegance, rhythmic vitality, and unmistakable charm. Though already admired in its own day, the piece found renewed fame in the 1970s through its use in the film The Sting, helping to spark a major revival of interest in Joplin’s music.
